The only mod i havent really tried was the custom avatars with third person mirroring. It would make it more entertaining for friends that wait their turn, but for the life of me i cant get it to work. Ive looked for forums, watched many vids, and tried things on my own but it just wont work.
The camera plus config file wont show up no matter how many times i reinstall everything. I see the option in game for camera, and have the avatars, but it wont mirror anything and the movable camera isnt there. Is there something im missing? Showing 1 - 10 of 10 comments. Just press F1 while in-game to toggle between first and third person cameras. You have to run the game once with the mod installed for the config file to be generated.
Also, just to be clear, CameraPlus is it's own mod and not part of Custom Avatars so make sure you have both installed.
Thank you for the reply! Well im dumb and found out i was in the wrong hard drive and found the beatsaber with all the mods. I found the config file and turned the 3rd person to True, but nothing changed. I hit F1 in game and no changes there as well. Did you disable motion smoothing in the game's camera options? Originally posted by Wubba Lubba Dub Dub :. Huhhhh not sure what went wrong then. I would start from scratch if I were you, uninstall beat saber, delete any remaining files manually except any songs you want to keepreinstall the game, launch it then close it, run the modding program and make sure that custom avatars and camera plus are checked I don't think they are by default.
I did a fresh install of the game and mods and am sad to report no changes. I downloaded the in game mod viewer and noticed camera plus and song downloader mods say not loaded.Alright boys and girls, your favorite Assistant is going to teach you how to take your favorite anime models and put them into 3D Osu!
I will be assuming you have a basic grasp of blender and Unity and have made avatars for VRChat in the past. If not there's plenty of tutorials out there. This guide will start at the point when you're ready to export a fbx file to use on Unity. There is a video of me creating an avatar if you'd like something to follow along with. It is narrated by Megalon since a freak accident took away my ability to speak and edit videos.
So you've finished working on your anime girl on blender and are ready to export her as a fbx file, but not so fast! We have to turn her into a trap first.
So don't close blender yet, we have to use it to give her a very special bone. Now we just have to turn this bone into her special big boi bone. To do that select the bone, either by right-clicking it, or selecting it on the hierarchy view. Then open the Bone menu, which should look something like this:. Make the Head 0 on all fields, and the Tail should have the same values as the Head of the first bone in your Armature, usually it's called Hips.
Now we're going to select that first bone, Hips for me, and make the bone we created its parent, just like this. Now your anime girl should have a big boi bone as her first bone in the Armature, officially making her a trap. Now we can export her as a fbx file and import her into Unity. So you don't want your waifu to hold the sabers through the sheer power of plot armor and sticky hands, but she doesn't have a fist shape key. To add one, we'll be using blender again, now I know I said we were ready to export, but I'm like 12 and have the attention span of.
With pose mode enabled, you'll be able to position the bones to your liking. When you've gotten the desired look, click Pose To Shape Key. This will create a shape key for closing a fist. To finish up, hit w and click Clear User Transforms Allthis will reset the hand's pose.
Import the fbx file with your waifu, and create an empty game object with her name, but don't drag her in yet.
Next step will be to click on the Avatar asset, and set its rig as humanoid, and then configure it. If you've worked with VRChat avatars before this should sound familiar, so I'll skip the configuration, which basically is just match the body parts and enforce T-Pose. After doing that you can drag your Avatar into the GameObject that you created before. You want to position Head where you want your camera to be, similar to VRChat's white dot. For both LeftHand and RightHandyou want to position them on your Avatar's hands like if they were your controllers.
The positive Y axis points up from the controller, so you want that to point towards your wrists. We're ready to start the fun! Navigate the hierarchy of the Armature until you reach the Head, select it and right-click and Create Empty, then drag it into the Head we created and name it HeadTarget. That process will make sure that it's in the correct place. It should look something like this.
